A New Poker Client Introduced at Full Tilt Poker

Posted under Poker & internet poker & online poker

World leading online poker room FullTiltPoker.com is unveiling a new and innovative online poker client that integrates brand new features on both the front end and backend and makes navigation easier than before.

The initial response from players will observe is a brand new welcome page featuring a new revamped feel as well as a couple innovative features including a series of various security guidelines shown on the bottom of the screen. Full Tilt’s new software provides players three distinct lobby views: Basic, Standard and Classic View.

The Basic View gives novice poker players the possibility of catching up with the new poker client and observing the poker games without the demands of playing poker. The Basic View gives step by step data on all the existing poker games, and offers poker players the opportunity to pick their currency, type of game, Game (Hold’em, Omaha Hi or HL, Stud and Mixed Games), Limit (Fixed, Pot or No Limit), and Stake. Additionally customers can now review the action before entering a table with the new “Observe Table” choice or click on “Browse Table to view the list of accessible poker tables.

The Standard View gives information about all the available games and permits poker players to modify the list of games and poker tables to display only the poker games of their choice. This choice also supplies customers the prospect of selecting the poker table by type, game, stake and observe the tables before joining the action.

Full Tilt Poker Players can also decide on the Classic view and keep Full Tilt Poker’s earlier lobby, however, this selection will be accessible for a short time only and will be discontinued soon.

Largest Online Poker Tournament Ever at Full Tilt Poker

Posted under Poker & online poker & poker news

Full Tilt Poker will attempt to stamp its name on the Guinness Records and to do so; the site has announced that it will try to set a new record for the Largest Online Poker Tournament. Full Tilt’s Record Breaker tournament was unveiled as the finale to FIVE, a week of events and promotions created exclusively to celebrate the site’s 5th anniversary. The tournament will take place on July 19th at 15:05ET, players can buy in for this event for only $5 or 1000 Full Tilt Points and compete for a share of a $250,000 guaranteed with $250,000 added prize pool. Players can also get entries to this event by playing the online satellites available on the site and starting for as little as 30 cents or 50 Full Tilt Points.

Team Full Tilt pros and WSOP bracelet winners Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Phil Ivey have already confirmed they will take part in the event, offering players the chance to sit down at this historic tournament and play with some of the best high stakes and tournament pros in the world.

“By extending the limits of what is possible in online poker tournaments, Full Tilt Poker will allow players to compete for a big payout without the big buy-in,” said Team Full Tilt member Howard Lederer.

Putting together a poker tournament of this magnitude would be nearly impossible for any brick and mortar casino or poker room. The current record for the largest “live” poker tournament was set at the 2006 WSOP Main Event with 8,772 players. To break the current Guinness Record set by PokeStars.com in December, 2008, Full Tilt Poker will need to attract over 35.000 players. If successful, this tournament will establish Full Tilt Poker as World Record holder and cement its reputation as a world leader in online poker industry.

durrrr Takes on Patrick Antonius in Million Dollar Challenge

Posted under Poker & online poker & poker news

FullTiltPoker.com has recently unveiled an innovative informative site involving all the details of the “Durrrr Challenge”, an amazing online heads up challenge presenting some of the world’s best high stakes online players competing against the Heads Up Specialist Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The brand new site presents online poker players and followers the opportunity to monitor this incredible Full Tilt Poker Challenge and check out regular statistical updates. With this new “durrrr Challenge” site fans can track all the action and look at each hand played during durrrr Challenge, and get lots of statistical information, including number of hands played, session time, amount won, average won during each hand and tons more.

About six months ago, the twenty-three year old online poker pro issued a heads-up challenge for any poker player with the money, time and capability to accept it. Any poker star entering the challenge has to bet $500,000 against Tom’s $1.5 million. Tom’s challenge specifies that a minimum 50,000 poker hands need to be played at the same time at four or more poker tables of no-limit Hold’em or pot-limit Omaha. At the end of the challenge, the poker player who has more cash will earn the pool. In essence if you enter the poker challenge and win $1 after the 50,000 hands, then you will take home Dwan’s $1.5 Million, but if he wins by a dollar then he will win your $500,000.

Up to now, some poker players have accepted to play the “durrrr challenge”, including seven-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey and David Benyamine, but, only Patrick Antonius has accepted the poker challenge. Until now, both poker players have engaged in a total of 20,647 poker hands out of 50,000, with Tom Dwan up by $726,546 total.
